Connecting with customers is crucial. Jannese and Austin share how they built their brands and used multiple marketing strategies to increase profits.
⚾ The Elevator Pitch
We are approaching a world of personalized software. It’s no longer unimaginable to have apps and tools catered to ultra-specific tasks. However, despite the vastly different use cases, a lot of software still look and operate quite similarly. It might be the last 20-30% of software development where it differs – in the small details of handling different data, diverging workflows, etc. So what if the first 70% of app development was made super easy.
That is the core theses of Retool. Retool uses drag-and-drop interfaces for major components, with code written on top of that. The result is powerful internal tools that can be built remarkably fast, without losing any specificity.

🔍 Why we like it
🍴 Software is eating the world
You’ve probably heard this before already – that software is eating the world. But if you look at the past decade, the trend has become clear. More and more major businesses and industries are being run on software and delivered as online services — from movies to agriculture to national defense. Retool is making itself into a necessity for any business or company that has fast moving and ever-changing components – practically all companies.
🧽 Clean and easy to use UI
Beyond being easy to build, being easy to use is just as important for internal tools. As tools change hands from team to team, they have to be intuitive and easy to grasp. Retool’s UI design is compromised of simplistic and clear components. Anyone that has worked with Excel or spreadsheets previously will find Retool’s interface to be second nature.
