⚾ The Elevator Pitch:
Millions of workers wear their protective hard hats every day to their jobs. For decades, industrial revolutions have come and passed, but our traditional hard hats have remained the same. Although robust, they have not evolved to utilize the advanced wearable technology of today to help improve working conditions and efficiency. That's where WorkerSense comes in.
WorkerSense built a new sensor that can be installed with any hard hat. These sensors collect over 11,400 data points every minute, last 24 hours in one go, and once paired with software, creates dashboards that help companies reduce inefficiencies in their workflows leading to an average 10.1% production boost.

🔍 Our analysis
🪖 Non-typical Market → Huge Opportunity Although U.S Construction might not be the most typical market you may hear about, this is a market niche that composes around $1.29 T of the US economy every year. For the longest time, construction companies have been reliant on manual, and repetitive processes to complete their workflows. By using wearable tech and analytics software, WorkerSense built an experience that feels like magic to the construction managers — same helmet, same jobs, but hundreds of new insights and opportunities unlocked.
📈 Deep Moat By putting an emphasis on building out the software applications along with their hardware product, WorkerSense made a wise decision to deepen their moat (ultimately making it harder for competitors to copy what they are doing). Any customer that is onboarded to WorkerSense’s would have to think very hard before leaving WorkerSense’s hardware, applications, and insights portal.
Note: Additionally, having the paired software applications also allows WorkerSense to charge via a subscription offering of $299/month per sensor.
